TATTOO

by appointment only
we can even do it at your place!.....
Tokyo Manji Tattoo (TMT) Studio was born as a collaboration between UChan and Ira. And in a strong conviction that together we can contribute to the change of cultural standards regarding tattoos in Japan.
Don't think twice, ...DO IT!
A picture is just a picture or is it?
Some draw pictures on canvas, some draw with the finger in the air or water, yet some like their life in pictures on their skin....
In the end, how you perceive the picture depends on who you are, what is your cultural background or aspects like that...
Although a picture drawn on the skin may communicate your personality, it may also give healing to the body/mind if necessary or express your esthetic values in stories and symbols....
For many warriors, shamans, etc. in the past tattoos provided a source of power.
There was also an important aspect of drawing pictures on the skin in the ancient days of the Far East, they were drawn on specific parts of the body associated with acupuncture points or meridians. Those pictures were done for medical purposes, often dealt with one's excesses or deficiencies...
There are many studies done on the subject and many benefits described.
Often astrological charts were taken into consideration when creating those Tattoos, or elemental charts ....The science of Bazi is probably most used when creating Healing Tattoos to balance the Elements of Wind, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water.
“Show me a man with a tattoo and I'll show you a man with an interesting past.”

In my late teen years, I was learning jewelry design in a number of Poznan's most prestigious institutions. Eventually, before leaving the country I have made it to Chart, which at the time was Poznan's best jewelry atelier/studio. It was there, under the guidance of Mr.Wlodawiec that I had a chance to design and produce the piece (Ritual Chalice) which became famous and was handed to Pope John Paul II. And eventually was exhibited in Vatican Museum.
Many years have passed since, (more than 30 in Japan), ...eventually one day, after retiring from my 20 years carrier in finance, drinking "Papa Dobble" in one of Tokyo's bars, I had a chance to meet UChan, who was telling me about (the unknown to me then)
"World Of Tattooing". Eventually, after many hours spent there, she managed to awake in me the desire to learn tattooing from her.
So this is how I started with my new LOVE for all things TATTOO!
I try to combine tattooing as much as I can with some Chinese Medicine modalities (which I learned at some point in Beijing TCM school), I also try to incorporate some ideas from over 40 years of study of Buddhism and its rich protective symbology. Those are very potent modalities.

GALLARY
I created this one for my son Maximilian, merging Scythian Tiger with Sayagata and protective syllable "Phat"
This one carries lots of meaning for both, the Scythians Slavic people of Europe and Asia
I created this one in memory of one of my teachers, who taught "this" to be a visualisation for one of the meditative practices.
At least this is my take on what he taught me.
sometimes I can't resist it and I do it on my own body by myself ;)))
